I spent over 10 years in prison and havent had any luck with work, how can the state of az hold me responsible for back child support for children if the incarceration was imposed under mandatory sentencing and no provision was adopted too offset me being charged child support and fees and interest during the incarceration?

I put a deposit down on an apartment along with an application fee. I was told I was not able to rent the apt. after they ran my application but will not return my security deposit. Can they legally keep my deposit? I understand them charging me the $40.00 for the application fee, but can they keep the $225.00 holding deposit?

I received a certified letter from my landlord that I have to vacate the property in 30 days. However this is not enough time for me and my kids to find a new place to live. Do I legally have to vacate in that amount of time or is she just making sure to start the process in notifying me?
