QUESTIONS

  • I am on SSI and so is the father of my 6 month old son...However the father is in jail with his probation being revoked and also has never met his son. Would my son be eligible for any of his or my own SSI benefits for any kind of child support payment if I were to establish an order of paternity?
  • I am a landlord and I have already given my tenant a notice to vacate my property in 30 days. I had also asked her for permission to enter the property so that I can show it to the prospective renters. I had sent a letter regarding this 7 days in advance. To this her reply was that no matter what I cannot enter my own property. What are my options?
  • Can i get a annulment been less than 30 days
  • I was arrested at a friends mobile home on a misdemeanor warrant. I went without a hassle or drama. The charge was disorderly conduct. I was out in 14 days, went back to the park where coincidentally i do not live, was told there was no problem with me being there. The kicker is that my friends, a couple of about 70 years old are now getting evicted because of it. Im beside myself. It is not right. Id willingly have them ban me from the park if my friends would not get evicted. Is there no hope for them ?
  • Will a family member in mexico be able to apply for a temporary permit/visa to come visit their dying mother?
  • My husband and my daughter (his stepdaughter) were in an argument and my daughter slapped my husband in the face. My husband called the police and now wants to get a restraining order. My daughter was in the wrong by getting physical but I also don't think a restraining order is needed. Where does that leave me. My daughter can never come to our house again.
  • My air condition unit went out. I contacted my landlord told him the problem. He called his maintenance/repair guy he fixed the problem 24 hours later. Now the landlord wants me to pay $800 in repairs/labor saying it was my fault due to not changing filters every month. I did change the filters every 60 days even though the filters I buy say they last up to 3 months. What's the right way to go about this situation?
  • My daughter is 2 1/2 when she was born I was with a man who is not her father and he signed the birth certificate and took claim for her until we split a year ago. I want him off the birth certificate and to change her last name. What papers do I need to file? How would I go about doing this? He has not had contact with her in over 6 months and I can’t even contact him anymore.
