I have two children now in AZ that i pay child support for no problem. How do I go about starting child support case living in AZ for CA. I am also in the process of getting married to my childrens mother in AZ so I may not sure how this would affect my child support case in CA. Wanting to care of my kids but mom wont allow me to do so.

Answer: For assistance with your specific situation, consult with a licensed attorney. Unfortunately, if your whole family previously lived in California and that is where your children reside you will need to file a child support claim in California. Child support will likely not be impacted by your marriage. For more information on initiating a child support case in California, visit: http://www.childsup.ca.gov/resources/applyforservices.aspx
