  • After living at our current Apartment for well over a year I was offered employment by the Property Manager. I accepted the FT employment began working for the same company that I rent from. As an employee I received a discounted rent then what is stated on my current and active lease. After stating concerns regarding Fair Housing laws not being followed to the Property Manager I was terminated on a false accusation of theft. In my Letter of Termination it states I have less then 7 days to vacate the property as it is a benefit of employment. I lived here before I worked here can she do this?
  • I've been sick for the past 3 months and the doctors have not been able to diagnose my initial cause. Because of the musky smell in our rental, we believe there to be mold. I believe it is mold making me sick. When I informed the owner he instantly jumped down my throat and asked why this is the first he's hearing of anything. Since I asked not to pay rent till the rental tested for mold he threatened to start the eviction process as soon as possible. I understand I have to pay rent.   • Since July we have had a scorpion problem. We have continuously notified the office by letter each time we find a scorpion, we have even brought some into the office. The manager agreed to let us break our lease without payment on our behalf with a 30 day notice. 5 days after the agreement was made that manager had been let go and a new manager took over who had no idea about the agreement. Now they are saying the old manager did not take the proper steps to let us break our lease and refuses now to let us leave. We have 3 children under 8,I am pregnant and my husband was stung. What now?

My fear is that we were affected by what was used. Both my blood pressure and my sons went really high. I have highblood issues but my diastolic went much higher then usual. Do I have a right to know what was used in that apartment?
