So, my landlord and I discussed my closing out my current lease at the end of it, but agreed to resigning it with a new roommate. He agreed we have until May 1 to get all of our paperwork submitted to him, but when sent to him before May 1, he said someone else was in the process of signing a lease. Is this allowed since Im the current resident and we had already discussed resigning a lease after it ends at the end of June 2017?

I am a veteran I served my country with honor, and pride. I need information on how to acquire an audit from the V.A. debt management center. They have kept me in poverty over the last 30 years. If I still owe them anything shouldn't I be able to see what it is that I am still paying for. I would like to know where the funds they receive are being applied. My fixed income has been duned by the IRS to the tune of 20,000 dollars I was being duned by them and some how, I've managed to pay off the IRS, but the debt from the V.A. was just over 13,000for a foreclosed home. Please HELP.

My mother remarried when I was 2 years old. My brother and I both were enrolled in school using my stepdad's last name even though our last name was still legally our birth certificate name. I got married using stepdad's last name. My mother, real father and brother are all deceased and even though I have a certified copy of my birth certificate I am having a hard time proving that it is me, since I never used that last name. I am 65 years old and have had my driver's license since I was 16, moved to Arizona last year but cannot get my license/passport. What can I do? Terry Jaynes

If someone is on an Interstate Compact from Oregon to AZ and on parole, and they get put in jail; don't they still have the right to know why they've been put in jail? Especially after 3 weeks, with no appearance before a judge given, and Oregon says they still haven’t heard anything from Arizona and they usually don’t on these minor violations. I was told by a PO that my Son was being locked up for a parole violation of two diluted UA’s in a row. My son had to hear from me why he was locked up. They never told him his UA’s were coming out diluted or why he was being locked up.

Lease ends Dec. 10, 2018. I will pay in full, move out and turn over keys mid November. BUT landlord says I am still responsible for the property until Dec. 10th and is holding my security deposit hostage until that date. I don't want to be responsible for the property after I move out. What are my rights?

I have lived with my boyfriend for 2 years. We were evicted from our home for nonpayment and put all of our possessions in storage. We owe a large bill for the storage of our belonings to the moving company. I will be paying the bill and moving into an apartment without my boyfriend. Since I need to take everything out of storage to avoid further bills, can I keep my boyfriend's possessions as well as mine? I don't want to have to pay to store his stuff.
