QUESTIONS

  • While I was out of town, my apartment had a sewage backup, and subsequent mold infestation. Tenant was notified of the uninhabitable condition on Dec 11, met me at the property on Dec16, and offered to replace carpeting with tile. I provided written notice of uninhabitable condition on Dec 16 as well. I'd like to know several things: 1) do I have a right to demand mold inspection and remediation? 2) landlord has suspended rent as of 16th, but am I entitled to storage, moving, and/or living expenses while repairs are being completed?
  • My mother recently passed away while on hospice care. I did not have pre-arrangements made. Hospice offered to arrange services with the least expensive local funeral home. Since this is hospice' area of expertise, I agreed. This funeral home charged nearly twice what the other two businesses in the area charge. This company also was not the coroner designated on call mortuary for this particular month? I feel this is a scam, what can I do?
  • I did a plea bargain 9 years ago on a DUI. The court put out a warrant on me, they said I did not complete 36 hours of alcohol treatment. My attorney, does not keep records over 5 years. Can the city court bring up this after 9 years and say it was a pending case?
  • In regards to ars 41-1758.07 What is the difference between section b 42 and section c 66? B42 within 5 years- so anything older than five years is ok.......   • We have been divorce since Jul. 2009. We still lived in the house until Aug. 09 but I moved out due to her hostile. I decided to split our share, my 1/2 of the house (it was paid off by my father as a gift). I tried to get refinance-get the house-give her money 1/2 -and she was too BUT both of us fail to secure the loan we need. On 15 Oct. 09, I ask a realtor to sell our house so I can get my 1/2, her 1/2 but she repulsed to sign the sale auth and still live in it until now. What can I do to have her sign the sell, get my 1/2 and give her 1/2 so I move on?
