QUESTIONS

  • I purchased an ET center from a local store. I signed a paper that said no refunds and exchanges are per their approval. I asked them to place this furniture on hold for a least a month as our home was being rebuilt from a fire. Twelve days later I called them and advised I no longer wanted the furniture and they have refused to credit my credit card due to the paper I signed. Is this legal for them to say no refunds on furniture I never got?
  • I have sole legal and father last known address is CA. Last attempt to serve was done by alternate service and last known address. He has not exercised visitation in almost 3yrs. Has history of Domestic violence. Sole legal was given 1yr ago. I'm currently needing to move out of state. Since he is not in AZ I'm not sure if I need to file with the court. Or just update my address. My last attorney said I'm free to go where and when I need but never said how.
  • How do you get the cost of a name change fee waived. I am on disability. Are there certain papers I need to show proof of income and if so which ones. How is a waive determined at the time of filing and who decides?
  • under a civil judgement, as the appeal process is pending , do you have to pay the fine?
  • Can my daughters father get custody if my boyfriend that I'm living with has a dui felony?
  • if my wife leaves me does she have any rights to my pension and soc sec money no kids all are grown have some proof she has a boyfriend. has been gone since 10-30 no contact at all
  • How long is a landlord's notice of intent to enter good for? My landlord routinely gives notice of intent to enter by saying that they will be starting inspections on a certain date for the entire apartment complex, but it may take weeks for them to enter any given apartment. Is this legal behavior, or must they be more specific? It's getting annoying not knowing whether or not they came, or thinking they already have and then someone barges in weeks later.
  • I received full custody (legal making decisions) for my son but his father, who is on his birth certificate, did not have to terminate his rights. He doesn't make much effort to be in our son's life and is not allowed to have visits unless they are supervised. My husband and I want to move out of state next year, am I within my rights to take him without consent from his father? Hoping for an answer before any big plans are set in motion. Thanks in advance!
  • My husband and I are in a covenant marriage and we both agree we want to divorce (. From what I've read this is allowed by the court without stipulation. Which form does the courts need to pursue this? We have both search extensively and short of hiring lawyers (which neither of us want to do) we are unable to find this information out. Please help! (there are no children and no argument regarding property)
  • I have recently reviewed our finances and determined that we can no longer afford our home. We are not late and have not missed any payments. I have come in contact with a law office based in CA that offers loan modification, short sale, and deed in lieu services. If we opt to pay someone to negotiate for a loan modification with our lender am I less likely to fall victim to scam with a law office?
