QUESTIONS

  • Our no fault divorce was just finalized. I learned that she was pregnant is pregnant with another mans child and told me days after the divorce was final. Do I have any recourse? She didn't want me to have joint custody and I have to pay alimony. Now, she's struggling with my 4 kids and I doubt the other guy she was having an affair with will marry her due to the alimony but I believe I would of filed grounds had I known.
  • My fiancĂ© and I are in a month to month lease. On 8-26-16 a guest of ours that was visiting the state was accused of crime on property. The next day the landlord stated we had to leave that day or we could pay for next month's rent and be evicted afterwards. They stated a eviction would show on credit affectively making it nearly impossible to rent anywhere else. On the rental agreement there was no notice stating we needed to advise them if we had a guest staying longer than 14 days and he has not been formally charged. What options do I have.

Does the fact that his attorney met with my wife and me c. 1 yr ago to discuss my daughter's issues as the relate to the kids disqualify him as having knowledge we gave in confidence to him? Q2. Does the same apply to my wife, my daughter's step mother? Q3. I have worked with both to provide a negotiated settlement, divulging information that may compromise her if I testify. Will this disqualify me?
  • our landlord knowingly knew pets would be on the premises since the beginning of our lease in november 2016 , our lease is set to end november 2017 and now that we are 4 months away from it ending the landlord is wanting to charge us pet deposits but didn't say anything about it from the beginning. is this valid or can this be fought?
  • My ex & I have 50/50. we split in 5/15, he moved in his gf two months after I left. He since has been trying to get my son (2.5yrs) to call her mom. He took him out of the babysitter care w/o my knowledge or agreement, put him in a daycare of his choosing so his gf could have access to my son. He wouldn't let me know where he was enrolled. Once I did they wouldn't give me an update because he didn't list me on the pwork. He takes him to rndm clinics so I won't have access to his records. & I just found out she was arrested for domestic violence while my son was there. What can I do help!
  • MY DAUGHTER WHOM IS 20 HAD A BABY 2 YRS AGO. THE FATHER IS LISTED ON THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE. THEY WERE NEVER MARIED. I'AM THE GRANDFATHER. I TAKE CARE OF HIM 3-4 DAYS PER WEEK. REASONS INCLUDE THE LACK OF INTREST MY DAUGHTER HAS IN HIM AND THE FACT THAT THE FATHER IS BIPOLAR AND FREQUENTLY IS UNSTABLE. PLEASE HELP!
  • A rental insurance company has refused to pay because the landlord did an upgrade rather than a repair of the domicile. A landlord is charging a tenant to pay for an upgrade rather than a repair of property damage. What is the best option to fight this - with the insurance company or the landlord?
  • My dad is disabled and been served a 24 hour eviction notice. Does he have any rights?
  • We had a roommate. He started drinking heavily again while living here even though one of the agreements was that he didn't. He was late on rent, and after causing a lot of drama ended up getting arrested for DV within the house and is not allowed to return here without police escorts. We also have an Order of Protection against him. A lot of his stuff is still here at the house and we are trying to figure out how long we are obligated to keep it. This happened mid June and it has been over a month since the last time he came to get anything. Thanks in advance.
