questions & answers
Question: How long does a person have to get his or her belongings out after being served a order of protection? They came the day they got served and I called the police on them.
Answer: A judicial officer will decide at the hearing whether or not a person may get their belongings. If the judicial officer allows the person to get their belongings they will need to contact their local law enforcement to go to the property and retrieve those items that are not in dispute.
