They are coming up on a lease renewal in mid June, however, we are planning to move them to another Senior independent living facility in Sept or October to get them closer to me, as I am their primary caregiver. Can they get out of this new lease without penalty?

  • My boyfriend and I have been living together almost a year. We have had his 14 year old son at least every other weekend of the last 5 months and he moved in with us full time a month ago. While my boyfriend is taking the steps to obtain sole custody, what paperwork do we need or what steps do we need to take so I can be legally responsible for his son when he travels for work or is unreachable? We are not married or engaged, but I have the more flexible schedule and spend more time with the son (not that it really matters, I guess).

My oldest has told me that that he to was hurt by my husband. I've now lost my home(being evicted) and Job because of this. My parents live in another state where I have more opportunities to live a better life with my kids. Can I move to another state and Handel my DV case and divorce?
  • I am renting part of a unit where there are three other roommates. None of us knew each other. Landlord put us together as sudents. They party all the time. I cannot sleep or study. Can I get out of my lease. I cannot pay this rent and afford another place at the same time. If he serves eviction notice to all of us, do I still owe him the rent for the remainder of the lease. Other tenants are happy.
