QUESTIONS

  • I'm a LCPL in the Marine Corps and I live in the barracks on base. I was told by my higher ups that if I have 50% custody I can qualify for a house. So that i can bring my daughter out, not for the whole 6 months but a couple weeks out of the year, she's 5 now. My ex has said she was ok with it but we are not doing anything throgh the courts and my command wants documentation. What would i need to prove 50% custody?

She is not on the lease and doesn't pay rent nor has there ever been rent spoken of because this was supposed to be temporary. She did have her mail forwarded to herself her. Since moving in we have found out she is actively using street drugs and is not making efforts to help herself and has become increasingly hostile and verbally abusive. Can she still be removed as a guest...the police said no. Help.
  • We just moved out of a rental and we had it professional cleaned and carpets cleaned. Our landlord is deducting from our deposit depreciation for the carpet. we lived there three years and in those 3 years we had the kids rooms get a couple small stain. I understand the stains but can the land lord take money away from us for depreciation on the carpet? every house is going to get depreciation over time and use and they are the one renting it out and even if they weren't they would be living in it them selves. if a landlord can do that than they are going to start doing it for the house.
