  • Recently in my apartment the refrigerator went out andwas repaired by a repair man the manager sent over and the repairman stated that for me to write out a list of food that was lost and take to the office.this was done and I also sign the paper stating that this in fact did happen.the manager stated that under normal situation the landlord is not responsible for the food that was lost,but because the repairman stated that he would make sure I would get paid for food lost.I would have to take this up with my insurance (Renter's insurance) about $75-100 worth of groceries.The manager has offered to deduct $75 dollars off of rent for the following month,and i agreed to this. The question is am I to be responsible for food that was lost ,when the appliance came with the apartment?this is not the first time this has happen to me.should I contact my insurance company regarding this issue?
  • Six months into a twelve month lease my landlord sold the property. Now the new landlord is telling me that I must sign a new lease. Although she is not raising our rent, other provisions of the new lease are objectionable to me. Must I sign this new lease to preserve my status as a legal tenant, or must the new landlord accept the terms of my original lease?

  • My boyfriend got arrested a few days ago in Phoenix for a supposed probation violation when he wasn't even on probation in the first place. The city of Scottsdale put a hold on him for an unpaid warrant from years ago for underage drinking and driving under the influence. The Phoenix jail said if I paid a bond of $50 dollars the charge of probation violation would be taken care of and then the city of Scottsdale would have 72 hours to pick him up or he'd be released. When I sent his mother to pay the $50 dollar bond they told her there was no $50 dollar bond and that the bond was $2,550 but that is what he owes the city of Scottsdale and they still haven't picked him up. Now they are telling him he is going to court AGAIN for the Phoenix charge and then after that they'll transfer him to Scottsdale to wait to go to court for those charges. I don't have a job or $2,550 dollars or anything worth nearly that much. I'm afraid he's going to end up being in jail PAST MY SCHEDULED C-SECTION. I'm due in 37 days. Any advice? Please help,.

  • I am about to become a grandmother in December ~ my first ~ my daughter-in-law is making statements that she does not possibly want their child to have my son's last name, but rather her maiden name. I am not sure where she is going with this scenario, but I suspect she is anticipating something that would separate relationships between us.   • we are currently listed as owner's to a mortgage but signed transfer of property- deed papers to an investor of whom we have been making monthly payments to. We have been informed by the mortgage that our payments have not been submitted and that we will soon be in foreclosure. What can we do? This investor promised to assume the mortage as well as the property but really only filed tranfer of property and continues to collect our money, of which has been steady each month.
  • I owe $35,000.00 on a 2000 motorhome I can't make payments anymore as I don't have the means. I tried to surrender it, but was told to try to sell it myself, I have a buyer, willing to pay $20,000 for it.But I need the title for it before the buyer gives me the money. the creditor is not willing to send me the title yet. what can I do? this is better for the creditor, because they don't have to come get it themselves.
