QUESTIONS

  • What are my rights as a tenant in an apartment complex, if the property management fails to take care of my rodent issue? I have lived here for 6 months now and the issue has been reoccurring the last month and a half.
  • I am a renter with wife and 3 children, We have not had A/C since 8/31/17. Landlord has a home warranty program and its taking forever to rectify the issue. Ive been told various dates and times but they always fall through. Now its supposed to be Saturday 9/9/17 btwn 12-4. What is my recourse against the Landlord? she has offered nothing . All I hear is she is a single mom of 3 kids, who lives with her parents.

The Manager arranged for draining/cleaning but did not replace the floor (vinyl) or carpet. Just "dried" it. Claims no mold but odor lingers. My question is, it was unlovable for 5 days and no refrigerator for past 7+ days. Requested rent adjustment, but was told "it was your own risk.....can't predict when a flood occurs". Can they refuse to adjust the rent? Will I lose my deposit?
