QUESTIONS

  • I have a 1 year old child. Her father went to prison when she was 2 months old. Now his mother is trying to get visitation with my daughter. Were set to go to trial in April. I'm not sure exactly what to do. I don't have a lawyer and I'm a full time single parent . I can't afford a lawyer. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do or file. I don't understand the terms or the paperwork at all. Can she get visitation if I don't get a lawyer or miss file the information?
  • Does someone who is in jail for not paying child support receive any credit toward his child support for each day he/she is incarcerated? The pastor from my church told me he believes it to be $100/day

  • I recently rented a room for my wife and I from a couple in Phoenix. I paid a deposit and three months rent in advance totaling $1625. I received signed receipts. Before moving in the landlord changed our original agreement and asked for a separate fee for utilities. We had agreed on a monthly rent charge that would include utilities.I informed the landlord that if he could not adhere to our agreement I would remove my property and wanted a refund. After considerable difficulty I was allowed to do so but a refund has been refused. A lease was also refused. I never stayed in the home even once.

  • I have been paying an overpayment fee each month for the past sveral years which has totaled over $1000. The original reason was proven to be invalid and nothing has ever been adjusted. The reason was because for one 6 month period somehow it was reported that a felony conviction was in my criminal record which was not reported on my app because it was not true.I have never had a felony conviction. This has been an issue I have been trying to correct since it's started and nothing has been done. Please assist me with this issue.
  • Whats the differance between divorce and legal seperation
  • I was a stay-at-home mom for the majority of my marriage. During that time I accrued some student loans. In our separation agreement we each agreed to pay half of that, and any other, debt. A lawyer I spoke with stated that I am eligible for alimony (we were married 9 years and I stayed home for 6 of them), but my spouse takes great exception to this. He believes that since I did not contribute, monetarily, I should not be entitled to alimony. What should my expectations be?
