QUESTIONS

  • Paternity and support. I have been summons that says that I have been named the father of a child. It says that I am hevy summoned and required to appear and defend in the abouve entitled action, in superior court within twenty days to respond. I went to the required class that they talk about but, I have no idea what to do from here?
  • I've read that Az. doesn't recognize common law marriage. However, I can't find information to clarify what occurs with a partnership after a given number of years. I've been cohabitating with a lady for 7 years, and recently was told "you've been together long enough that everything you have is community property." I'm concerned about our separate investments that we each have willed to our respective children. Thanks for any information you might be able to provide.
  • is the landlord responsible for pest control, specifically pest control (bedbugs) in the apartment?
  • I have been wrongly served an Injunction against Harassment (IAH) notice. I want to challenge this, but in the meantime, I also want to get a protection order against the plaintiff. Is it wise for me to do so? Also, I plan on challenging the injunction. Should I seek attorney counsel? Or should I represent myself at the hearing?
  • In April of this year My landlord and I made a verbal agreement on renewing my lease, my lease ends July 31st. On July 2nd I gave him a call to ask when I can resign the lease we had verbally agreed to. He then tells me he rented out the apartment that I am living in and can no longer live in that apartment. However, he did offer another apartment $200 more than what I'm paying right now. Also note, I have had several problems with him trying to tow my truck by saying I was taking two parking spots which in reality I wasn't and I took a picture of it. What do I do in this situation.
  • I was fired for my FMLA being denied. However my fmla should not have been denied, the 3rd party company my copany used to verify the information contacted the wrong hospital that my wife stayed at even tho I supplied them the name and the names of the 2 doctors that treated my wife. Since FMLA was denied that put me in violation of the attendance policy so I was fired. Do I have any recourse to file a claim,
