QUESTIONS

  • What are my rights as a tenant to sell mobile home
  • My parents are getting a divorce and my younger sibing resides with my mother. Myself and other siblings realize that our mother is addicted to prescribed medications. My father does not want to write anything in the papers about my mothers drug dependency, however, my siblings and I agree that my mom should have to attend rehab to keep our sibling in her home. Is there legally anything we can do to demand rehab?
  • I live with my ex girlfriend. It has become turbulent. The past year plus she has physically/verbally/objects thrown at me/harassing email-text/threats on my life-police-suing me etc. This is a daily event. I have been told by family to file a PFA.   • We test drove a used truck for sale (private seller). We gave the man $500 deposit. The next day, we discovered we couldn't obtain the rest of the money ($2700 total selling price) but he had already cashed the $500 check and said he has no legal obligation to give any of it back. Is he right?
  • My lease states that we are responsible for the "care and maintenance" of the appliances, the glass stove top broke during normal use and the landlord is requesting that we pay for it. If the appliance breaks under normal use, is that our fault? Are we responsible for it under "care and maintenance" ?

  • I live in a apartment complex. My brother has informed the maintence via voicemail previously that there was something leaking in the bathroom. This was about April. They have not done anything or put an effort to fix the mold- that was caused, I'm assuming, due to the leak spreading on the floor.  It is now black and the walls have softened. It's now August what can I do to break my lease?
