  • A friend of mine who lived in an RV park recently died. He left his RV to me. At the time of his death he was renting on a yearly basis, and was paid up through May 2018. Park management says that the lot rental payments are not transferable, and that I must sign a new rental agreement. Have looked through Title 33 Chapter 19, but not sure if anything there applies. Is it true that the park owner can "keep the rent," in a case like this?
  • My mom passed away september 2018 the trailer her and her husband owned a mobile hone in a 55t community where they rented the space. I found out that after mom died her husband walked away from the trailer and owed lot rent. I thought he was paying everything. I found out they had been taken to court. It is now almost a year later snd i want my moms trailer and all her personal things that were in there but the park has a lock on the trailer. What are my rights what do i do.
  • We have received numerous noise complaints. We addressed the issue multiple times. It was determined that the flooring was poor and that the plumbing in our apartment was broken (causes a loud banging anytime water is turned on). Leasing staff entered our apt. without permission and stated they discovered these things. We thought they found the source of the noise and would figure out a solution. Yesterday we received another 10 day noise complaint. My roommates and I are afraid of eviction and we aren't sure what the next steps should be.

Before the sale a substitute trustee took over. I believe this sale was done with an Irregularity in conduct and an Inadequate sales price. What recourse do I have. Time is of the essence.   • I have resided in the same rental property for over a year. I was told I was renewed for another year. 3 months into the second year the landlord (owner/realtor) told me I have to buy the house or move. He wants twice what it is worth or I have to move. I know this is not legal as a tenant but does this also violate real estate laws? I would very much like to report him to proper authorities but to whom would I report such a thing?

  • My landlord sent a 5 day notice for Mays rent due on the 14th but I have a 3 day grace period. He put on the notice that I still owe $215 from April's rent which is not correct because I paid it. He admitted over the phone that the $215 was a mistake. Should I now make him send a corrected 5 day notice. I'm scared if I only pay May's rent he can still screw me over since the 5 day notice says I owe another $215.
  • I'm asking this question for my son who is renting a studio apartment. The apartment is infested with roaches which are coming from an a joining unit and now mice. It is a very unhealthy place which the landlord has not fixed the problem. The other tenant has been evicted the the unit has not been emptied and the insects are taking over my sons place making it a health hazard. Any advice as to how to get the landlord to exterminate the apartment? Thank you.
