QUESTIONS

  • I received an email saying where to leave the keys and that inspection would be done the next day when I was never aware that I had to leave the property I was renting so I called the number given in the email and was told I was sent a letter back in August notifying me of action. they said letter was received but we had no idea of what letter. now we have to get out in 5 days since they said we already had 60 days to move out or next step will be an eviction notice from court which fees will have to be paid by me.wha can I do?
  • I moved in to a rental in a vacation village in October before the cold weather hit. I signed a year lease with a property manager. The home is so poorly insulated that it cannot maintain heat. The cold air seeps through the floors and walls and I cannot keep warm. The electric is constantly running and it is costing me over 200.00 per month to heat 389 sq. ft. I also have health issues that are exacerbated by the cold. I do not feel this home is meant to be a full time residence. For health reasons, I cannot stay here. Do I have recourse to break my lease?
  • My father has a 15 year old daughter that abuses my dad she hits him, kicks him yells and threatens him. I live in OR and am not sure how to handle this problem.Who can I call?
  • Could I sue my property manager for not returning my deposit, although they are not the owners of the property?
  • I am divorced. My ex-husband commeted domestic violence when we were married a couple of times. Now, his new wife and him are picking on our 15 year old daughter. His new wife has threatened her with bodily harm as well as verbally abusing her. I don't know if this is child abuse, harassment, or domestic violence. What should I do?
  • I'm an owner/landlord of a single family home, which I rented to an individual with an option to purchase. He never exercised the option, and eventually defaulted on rent, and moved out. Problem is I recorded in the public record a document showing that he paid an amount toward the purchase of the house. I should not have done this because now I cannot refinance or sell the property due to a 'cloud on title. I contacted former renter to sort out issue, but he refuses to cooperate - leaving me stuck. What are my options ? Thx
  • Can a landlord refuse to allow a tenant (single parent) to add a minor child to the lease?
  • So I asked to help rent out some homes which I did come to find out they have been foreclosed on and one lady cause she only seen me want and filed charges for theft how can I fight this
  • I was laid off and filed for UI April, 2011. I received a Severance Package from my employer that payed me my salary for a period of 7.25 months in a lump sum. Unemployment originally approved me receiving UI Compensation in April 2011. They reversed their decision when I applied in November 2011 for Federal extension. They based the reversal on ARS 23-621 and A.A.C. R6-3-55460 B. DES contends these codes deny UI for anyone while they receive Severance. They do not. Please take a look. My sorting out of the mess my claim is in continues to this day. I was referred to you by Channel12
  • I have been taking care of my two sisters for a year now. The mother and father are living together out of state. I went to court and have permanent guardianship. I was getting food stamps but the mother claimed the two girls on her case and the assistance got taken away. Can I file for child support? I am getting no help with raising these children.
