QUESTIONS

  • Is it legal for my landlord to take possession of my personal property after we agreed on a date for me to get it when I was there but he did not show up an before the 21 days that I was given to retrieve my property is up
  • My house in AZ was foreclosed on& was one of the homes that was part of state of AZ v B of A(national mortgage settlement). Since this foreclosure was part of the successful lawsuit for unfair practices, could I ( and how) can I have it removed from my credit report?
  • My mothers health has drastically changed and she only lives on social security, a very small disability bi-weekly stipend and has medicare. While my mother has been accepted for medicaid as a secondary insurance, she will have to contribute monthly of $406 so that she will be able to have full time home health care (vs only part time with medicare). This expense will make it impossible to help her pay her credit card debts off. My mother needs to contribute to medicaid but then won't have enough to pay off her debts. What are options as far as her credit cards? Should I close them (with her on the phone) and let them know that she is unable to pay so we'd need a settlement price? Or just walk away? I am unsure of her options as my original plan was to help her pay them off one by one.
  • I found a statute saying a victim of domestic violence can terminate lease without repercussion but my landlord won't accept. What do I do?
  • I was married to my ex-husband for 11 years. He served in Air Force until he retired. Nothing regarding his retirement is in our divorce decree. Can I collect some his pension under the Former Spouse Retirement Act?
  • My ex broke up with me and kick me out the place we shared with our child. I had to move back to my home city which is in a different city then my child, and since our child is still in school I didn't want to move our child out of the school s/he went to. So had to leave my child with the dad. My child has stated that s/he wants to come live with me. So how do I get custody of my child.
  • I am at the tail end of a very bitter divorce. I purchased my home prior to marriage; I am the only person listed on the title and mortgage. My ex-wife was granted temporary exclusive use and possession of the home during the divorce process. The divorce is now finalized. The decree clearly states the home is mine. There is nothing in the decree that states she has X number of days to vacate the residence, and she refuses to leave. What is the process to get her out of my house and how long can I expect it to take?
  • Where do I go for help writing a will?
  • I am getting a divorce. How long must I be in Arizona before I am considered a resident?
  • How do I get the status of my divorce? My husband filed and said he took care of everything and I didn't need to do anything.
