  • I have lived with my brother for 2 yrs.I went out of town for the wknd, and he texted me that he wants me out,has changed the locks and refuses me access to get my belongings. There was never any written or oral contract for rent though I have given him money and have paid for repairs to the home. Can he lock me out because he feels I've disrespected him? He's also threatened me with police action if I go on the property. After I have cooked, cleaned and maintained his home what can I do?
  • Does an employer have to pay accrued sick and personal/vacation time to an employee that has given a resignation?
  • In May, I moved into a 12 unit complex in Scottsdale with a pool. The pool was green & the landlord told me it was being emptied, retiled, and filled & would be closed for a couple weeks. I am about to pay August's rent and the pool is still out of commission. It was emptied and two workers came one day to chip away the tiling. Nothing has been done since. What rights do I have as a tenant to start deduct rent or demanding repairs? The pool was a driving force in my renting & it's making a terrible for a terribly frustrating AZ summer. What do I tell my landlord??
  • What's the legal way to evict my ex-husband out of my apartment? I am the only one on the lease and he is an "approved tenant". I only allowed that 2 months ago because I moved to California and still had 6 months left on my lease and at the time he was working and was suppose to pay the rent. I came back after one month and had to catch up the rent and move back in and now he's not working or contributing anything, so I want him to leave since I am the only one legally responsible for all the rent. How much notice do I have to give him to leave? My landlord said I have to evict him.
  • My daughter recently move to tucson to attend college. The apt complex was supposedly wifi ready, but the previous tenant in her unit apparently damaged the wiring to the point of a very costly repair, which the complex manager told her `they did the best they could', but it would cost too much to fix, and basically, tough luck. She now has to rely on using data (expensive!) and they are not offering to cover that cost. If the other units in the complex have access to this service, isnt she legally entitle to it as well?
  • i am 17 years and 2 months. Can I choose to live with my brother instead my mother
  • My daughter was born in a different state than which we live in. I am in the process of leaving the father because he verbally abuses me on a daily basis. We know that he is not her biological father, can I have his name removed from the birth certificate in the state we live in? Can I change my daughters last name from his last name to mine?
  • A mortgage company defrauded us, sold us on a refi from a 3.5% ARM to an 8% fixed before the industry crashed. Turns out the switched papers at the title company and put us back in an ARM with a pre-payment penalty. After Az Att Gen office sent a letter to them, did they finally modify our loan. 2 yrs later, I want to refi in to todays rates after no late payments and I am told since modified, never can refinance??? Also Att Gen office asked me to fill paperwork out for the settlement they reached with a Bank, I did, have heard nothing and the Bank says they will do nothing!
