QUESTIONS

  • Guy gets nailed with low level felony (literally weakest felony). First offense, so judge says no jail time if person commits to probation, drug tests, anger management. Problem is guy decides to leave the state, violating probation etc. Cops come w/ warrant but no dice. After 10 years he wants to come back to AZ. Question: If cops get wind that he's back can he get arrested? Can he possess any weapons of any kind? What about those samurai swords people hang on the wall for decoration? Can he be charged for something like that under these circumstances. Thanks.
  • Three years ago, I put myself on child support because the mother of my child would not allow me to see our daughter. As part of the court order, the mother of my child claims our daughter on taxes for all even years while I claim our daughter for all odd years. Earlier this year, when I went to file my 2013 taxes, I was advised that someone had already claimed my daughter's social security number. What are my next best steps? And no, I have not yet filed my 2013 taxes and she has admitted to this crime. Can I take her to court? Should I file anyway and let the IRS catch her?
  • The child support payments I pay are garnished through my employer. The monies are paid to a gov't clearing house agency in Phoenix. When I changed jobs and wages began garnishment (eventually) the amount that was garnished was incorrect. I didn't realize and had no part in setting up the garnishment. Now I am being sued for arrears. Who is responsible for submitting the correct garnishment calculations? The court order clearly states the monthly amount to be paid.
  • I gave revocable guardianship to my mom when I moved out of state so the kids could finish that school year and I started my new job. Now that I have petitioned to revoke guardianship, she is suing me for custody. I am so far and not sure how to handle this.
  • I was recently laid off work as a biomedical technican, allegedly for "reduction in force" needs. I suspect that my selection for dismissal was primarily based on my age (44yo), as a recently highed 22yo female technician was retained despite having almost no experience and still being trained. I can't afford high lawyer consult fees so what can I do to determine if I have a valid claim?
  • I moved in my boyfriend mobile home park home which he owns but pays rent for the lot, new owners are asking me for an application fee because the old managers didnt add me to the lease over a yr ago can they make me move by denying my application even when i been living here for 2 yrs
  • If your name has legally been removed from the childs birth do you still have to pay child support
  • I have lived with my boyfriend for 2 years. We were evicted from our home for nonpayment and put all of our possessions in storage. We owe a large bill for the storage of our belonings to the moving company. I will be paying the bill and moving into an apartment without my boyfriend. Since I need to take everything out of storage to avoid further bills, can I keep my boyfriend's possessions as well as mine? I don't want to have to pay to store his stuff.
  • If the noncustodial parent changes job. Would the custodial parent get notify?
  • I will be moving to phoenix Arizona july 1,2015 and I will only need assistance for a short while how do I apply when I get there
