My family just moved out of a rental house where we lived for 5 years. In the original lease, and verbally ever since then (even in March of this year) the landlord said we would not have to pay for the condition of the carpeting when we moved out because he was going to replace it. The carpet was not damaged, but needed deep cleaning. Now the landlord says we owe $400 over and above our security deposit. He lists $500 for carpet cleaning. Can he do this? What can we do? Thanks

I'm trying to assist seniors in a mobile park that are being abused by a park manager in one way or another. An 85 yr man got a 24 hr notice to move out due to his caregiver. The notice was hand written and delivered to him by managers husband. Another senior lady was sold a home that had no gas meter and now she cant use stove to cook and has no hot water for bathing. A 61 yr old man was chased down street by managers husband and assaulted. He did go to court and get a restraining order however the park turned around and got one on him which overturned his. Who can help these seniors. Help !

THE JUDGE HANDELING MY DIVORCE HAS TAKEN THE ISSUE UNDER ADVISEMENT IN REGARDS TO SOME MONEY I WANT THAT MY MOM IN LAW HAS FROM OUR INCOME TAX RETURN, HOW LONG DOES THE JUDGE HAVE BEFORE HE HAS TO ENTER A DECIOSSION OF HOW TO DIVIDE THE MONEY BETWEEN MY X AND I, OR WHO WILL GET THE MONEY? I don't know if you can help us or maybe direct us to someone who can. KayKay Properties took over as managers of our apartment building. This is not an assisted living facility, but regular low income senior apartments. I am one of the original tenant and the other original tenants and we have gone through several managers. But this company has come in and is trying to dictate to us, change rules that make so sense and threaten with evictions. We have been told that none of our grandchildren under the age of 18 can spend the night with us anymore, if they do, we will be evicted. If someone is on medical marijuana they can't smoke it in their apartment, they have to leave the building and smoke in the parking lot. If they smoke in the building they will be evicted. We can't go to check out mail in our robes, if we do we will be evicted. They will spray for roaches, but we have to count the number of dead ones, and if they have to spray again we have to pay for it. If we don't pay for the exterminator, we will be evicted. If any of us are ill and need family or friends to help us, we have to let management know who they are, where they work and how much they make, if not...you guessed it, we will be evicted. My ex wants more child support. We agreed upon a number and I have been sending that amount into the clearing house. Then she wanted it back dated 6 months and her attorney said I had to pay it.
