QUESTIONS

  • How do I file an amendment to my response for custody and child support, I would like to add that i want to discuss arrearages of child support and 1/2 med exp owed by father.
  • If a divorce petition was initiated and granted with the help of an attorney, do i need an attorney to repetition the courts for a change in my old decree which was filed in 1998.
  • This is a plea for my best friend. She is desperate need of legal help. She has shared custody of her 7 year old daughter with the father of the daughter and his wife. Her ex and his wife have harassed her, have bullied her by coming to her work and causing a scene, that resulted in the police getting called. They have given consent for the daughter to have surgery without the consent of my friend (the girls mom) or even telling her that she was going to have surgery. My friend found out after the surgery was done and the girls face was swollen and purple.
  • What needs to happen to get a divorce decree modified as to custody. What are the determining factors - proof of immediate danger to the children? For instance I hate the guy my ex married and I think hes a terrible guy - he had a questionable past including a short time in jail. Is that enough to modify custody?
  • I had to renew my foodstamps in October... because I forgot and didn't receive any so in November I started back receiving.... now I'm wondering do I receive them for this month or do I have to renew them again. Is it every six months for renewal.. I'm not sure please help me. And my case worker will not answer the phone.
  • How are adoption subsidies and monthly disability benefits treated in calculating child suppoort? My friend's wife refuses to provide him with any information as to these items and he is trying to put together his petition for dissolution. He is afraid that even if these monthly payments total more than his monthly gross income, he will be ordered to pay both spousal maintenance and child support. She also refuses to discuss joint custody.
  • I have temp custody of my grandson, his mother has supervised visitation. I offered to supervise these visits based on the discussion in court. Take him to chucky cheese or something to play and he is visiting with mom. SToday is our first visit and I while she will not anwser me regarding her plans. I know she is planning to have her boyfriend and a number of others to her home where she has requested to visit with her son. I am not at all comfortable with this situation but am not sure what I can do.
  • I am in need 5,000 to lay my daughter down to rest she was murdered in a domestic violence situation. Someone told me the county could help. Please help you.
  • My daughter recently move to tucson to attend college. The apt complex was supposedly wifi ready, but the previous tenant in her unit apparently damaged the wiring to the point of a very costly repair, which the complex manager told her `they did the best they could', but it would cost too much to fix, and basically, tough luck. She now has to rely on using data (expensive!) and they are not offering to cover that cost. If the other units in the complex have access to this service, isnt she legally entitle to it as well?
  • My father (73) was diagnosed with lung cancer few months ago. I do not know how much time he has left. He owns a house in Mesa, and my sister lives with him. The house is under his name and he has a will that divides evrything he owns 50-50 between my sister and me. Now, when he passes away, can my sister still be in the house and assume mortgage payment? If my sister and I want to sell the house after my father's departure, can we do that? If so, how does that work?
