QUESTIONS

  • My boyfriend and I have been living together almost a year. We have had his 14 year old son at least every other weekend of the last 5 months and he moved in with us full time a month ago. While my boyfriend is taking the steps to obtain sole custody, what paperwork do we need or what steps do we need to take so I can be legally responsible for his son when he travels for work or is unreachable? We are not married or engaged, but I have the more flexible schedule and spend more time with the son (not that it really matters, I guess).
  • My husband managed a duplex for 4 yrs until he passed away 2wks ago, We moved from duplex 9 months ago he subleased our apt to"friends" the terms we may move back anytime & still use 50% of the property as our own. He also had a rv that he had rented out &occupants remained a watched over property. Within 2wks of his death sub leasers told owner about rv & occupants which was explained & a non issue. Sub lessees then insisted I remove my property per owner,Tenants under our deposit owner said he will be here Tues to take inventory &if anyone removes anything he will consider it property damage
  • I agreed to lease my condo to a women and her two small children for $600. a month with a $400. deposit. She gave me $310. to hold the condo. I mailed her the lease for her to sign and never received it back. She has been in the condo for 2 months now and has only paid $300. towards the rent and deposit. I place an eviction notice on her door as she will not answer her phone. She responded see you in court. What can I do?

  • Is it legal for my landlord to charge me to have her call a repairman out for health and safety related repairs? The heater stopped working and it is below freezing at night and she says she will call someone out after we pay her $75 to make the call.

We both are not working, but he has a girlfriend during our marriage and she is working.  My question is he told me he doesn't need to pay me his social security or any spousal support due to he doesn't work. Also since he bought the house before our marriage which we are living now. In my marriage, this house all the repair, utility, property tax are from our joint account. Now he told me I have no right to this house. It is true what he told me.
