  • I signed a contract in mid april to have my kitchen remodeled. I gave the contractor a down payment for the future job. They had their license suspended two days later and can not do any work until it is renewed. Now the company has changed names and license numbers. Is my contract with them void? Can I get my down payment back. No work has been done. The company will not return my calls. Should I file in small claims court?
  • We hired a lawyer to file court papers to stop foreclosure. He did not file in time but He said he called bank and they said they would wait 1 more week to foreclose because our lawyer needed more time. The bank did not wait and foreclosed anyways (of course) our lawyer did not file proper paper work for that he just called the bank and they said ok Now we are losing our house and don't know who to get help from.   • My son is 5 years old. I have sole custody. I read the self service paperwork and it says I have to notify the other parent or show "order terminating parental rights of the other parent." Is my divorce decree showing sole custody good enough? I know sole custody gives me the right to make decisions for my children even if my ex does not agree.

Because they neglected to refund an overpayment and process proper paperwork during my PCS, I now have two collections on my credit report, my credit dropped 104 points and my wages will be garnished. I did not terminated the couse I was taking at any time. I transferred from one campus to another because of my orders. I did not at any time miss classes. I have been trying to resolve the issue since July of 2014. I have documents to support everything I have said. Can I file a lawsuit against the school?

When I asked the landlord "why?", she stated that a reason is not necessary pursuant to law. Is this true? Can you provide me with the statute, please? I was not able to find it.
