  • My landlord intends to sell the home I currently rent. We had agreed via text message that we would enter into a years lease but a formal lease was never signed. Are text messages considered a legal binding agreement?
  • The new owner has raised the rent $20 per pet. I have 4 cats that I paid $125 each to the original owner but there is no re Ord if it. Now he is saying all animals, even cats, have to be leashed. Not doing so may cause termination. Is this legal?

  • How long does a landlord have to return partial payment in their possession, after no documents were signed outlining date rent will be cured from tenant? Can they legally proceed while excluding the partial payment in their possession from the court documentation summons all together? No 5 day notice was received via certified mail and no agreement entered into that they can accept partial payment and still pursue to evict. Please help.

Today I received a "Truth Affidavit" in the mail from his personal attorney making a number of false claims and naming my business as a "shell company" in the matter. My business was never relevant in the matter. How should I proceed with this?
