QUESTIONS

  • Is it true that you can motion to have a Commissioner replaced by a Judge, I've heard that the Judge is a elected official and a Commissioner is appointed by a Judge, since the Judge is elected by the people (me), don't I have that right?
  • our daughter is 25 yrs of age, she's permanently disabled, the dept of DDD has asked us if we are legal guardians for her, we have a conservative ship superior court order from the state of California, but we have been told that is not recognized in Arizona, so we have elected to file for a guardianship of her in this state since we reside here permanently. I'm permanently disabled as well and on fixed income which means I can't afford legal fees anymore. We need help filing our documents with the courts with all the necessary paper work the first time minimizing travel for health reasons
  • I paid two weeks rent at a week to week rental property. (I have receipt) Lease is verbal and is based on a publicly posted advertisement. IIt was agreed that deposit and rest of monthly rent would be paid in cash in 13 days. I left a check to show good faith and landlord agreed to not cash check. I went to house the next day and was told I was evicted and landlord would not honor our agreement. I was not given any written notice. This has cost me hundreds of dollars in hotel room costs as well as otherother costs not anticipated. What should I do?

  • I’ve been renting my condo for a year and a half. For the past 8 months we have experienced flooding issues when it rains. My landlord replaced the carpet but since it keeps flooding and now it smells awful like mold. I want them to bring in professionals as I have two children under 5 living in that room specifically that keeps flooding. They keep putting it off and the smell is unbearable. I’ve seen mold growing on the window but I believe this is under the carpet or in the walls. What can I do!? My lease isn’t up for another 6 months.

  • I had a friend who needed a place to stay. I told him he could stay at my apartment for 2-3 weeks. I also stated to him not to have mail sent to my residence I advised him a p.o. Box was cheap to go that route. Well it's been about 8 months now. I've been telling him he needs to get his own place and move out for many months now. Finally I just told him he had a couple days and that's all. So he has a place and told the police and my landlord his place would be ready on the 5th of November 2017. He has also changed his mailing address. Can I change my locks now since it's nov.8th 2017?
  • I own a mobile home and rent the lot. Starting January the mobile home park owner wants to raise the rent by 70.00 dollars 9.69 % more than what we pay now. His reason is because he wants to install new fence around the whole mobile park and repair the roads because they are cracking and a pool. He saids we are in charge of paying for all repairs for everything that has to do with the property. Is this true? I know we do have to take care of the lawn maintenance and our homes but do we also have to take care of everything else? Please help thank you
