QUESTIONS

  • I am a landlord and my lease specifically states "Mediation then arbitration" My previous tenant has filed a Case in the Civil Small Claims court. Can they legally take me to court if the lease has listed Mediation and Arbitration over a going to court?
  • Hoping I picked the right category. In January of this year (2017) I received a 1099-C from the bank cancelation of debt from a Home Equity Line. Does the bank need to release the lien or deed that was recorded when the HEL was established? How do I know they truely forgave the debt or if there is still some backdoor for them to collect should I sell or refi the home? I only received the 1099-C nothing else. And at the Maricopa recorders office no release was recorded. What do I need to do to have them release it. Is there a time frame that the bank is required to file a release?
  • My husband and I live in a mobile park, which the mobile home has been paid off, however the electric is connected to two other places plus ours that makes it three running under one electric bill.   • I’m need of biohazard clean up after a very unfortunate accident that look place in our apartment. I’m aware that the cleanup close is somewhat covered through our renters insurance but the cost of cleanup is more then what they want to cover. My question is, I does this not fall on the management to help take care of this??

  • My landlord keeps showing up at my apartment unannounced, knocking extremely hard. my 23 yr daughter answered the door, he was extremely rude and demanded to speak with me. I am a paraplegic and was sick in bed each time he came over. daughter suggested he call and set a day to talk with me. he still demanded that i get out of bed to talk to him. my daughter went to close the door as she has never met this man, and he stuck his foot in the door and pushed it open, my daughter told him she was gonna call police. this happened on 4 different days, 3rd time refused to talk son who is on lease

  • We live in a 55+ Mobile home park. My dad & mom bought it about 8 or so years ago for me. They lived in it and are on the rental agreement But I'm the owner and not on the rental agreement. But my Husband and I have been living here for about 4/5 years now we pay the lot rent and the utilities. He knows we're here but every time our son comes to visit he always stops him and gives him a hard time which then he comes at us with mailed forms for instance telling us we can't be here after knowing we're here and I own the trailer.
