  • how long i have to wait to get the rental reservation deposit back, after the landlord denies my application
  • I was born in CA and started using my step-father's last name at approx. 8 years old. I never legally changed my last name but my military records, ssn, etc. all use my step-father's last name which I've used throughout my life. I'm now a resident of AZ. Can I legally change my name here to the name I'm already using for all forms of ID/records? I just want to ensure my birth cert matches all my other forms of ID. Thanks
  • who do i make the actual check im sending to the child support clearinghouse out to? my ex-wife? the clearinghouse itself? the court?
  • After signing a lease back in March 2014 for 13 months for a certain price, the company now is saying that they made a 2% tax mistake and making every resident pay the extra from now on...it just seems to me once the lease is signed they couldn't raise the rent....so can an apt complex do that?
  • Does an apartment complex have to provide window screens to the top floor apartments. I asked management and they said they would not provide them and also that I was not permitted to buy and install them myself. This is a safety issue as I have an 8 year old daughter and bees and just recently a hawk flew into my apartment. Also, it's a high second floor apartment and the windows go below waist level, so a child can fall out pretty easily. What are my options?
  • If my parents have a temporary custody arrangement through a mediator & haven't gone before a judge yet for a final arrangement can I refuse to back to my dad's when my visitation time is over with my mom, can my sister as well she's 12? If not what can my sister & I do to let the judge no we want to move back with our mom or have more time with her? Does the judge even listen to what we want or anything about how we live or are treated at our dad's house? Thxs for any help

  • Is there a law that protects the renter of a mobile home space from eviction from eviction if the renter is medically incapable of paying rent?
  • We discovered black mold in all of our lower kitchen cabinets, Maintenance said they are going to have to rip out all of the cabinets and wall. The property manager asked if we had somewhere to stay for the weekend then stopped returning emails. The owner called and said just don't mess with it we'll be fine for now. Along with rent on Monday we left a written five day request for repairs due to health and safety. They are saying we can move that they will let us out of the lease and MAYBE be able to refund sec. dep. Are they required to refund our money and are we entitled to any moving costs
