QUESTIONS

  • My parents are on social security income only and we are evaluating whether to put my Dad in a nursing home. He would most likely be eligible for ALTCS. My parents own their home and it is the only asset left to support my mother. I heard that a nursing home can take half the house value if the house is sold within 3 years of my father entering a facility. Can the home be put into a trust for my mother or sold to a family member before my father enters a nursing home to avoid this?
  • How do I legally remove my verbally and emotionally abusive non-rent paying adult son from my home? He's also unemployed, by choice. Thank you.
  • how long does the employer have to approve or deny my doctors certificate for fmla. I submitted my request over a month ago and have not been approved or denied time off for care of a family member. Thank you.
  • Bounced a check to bank not knowing it would bounce at the time. When I did find out it bounced I did not pay right away. Amount $425. I cant pay now because it has gone to court system. At the time I wrote check I did not know it would bounce. Check was from good account. I just did poor bookkeeping. I read law and it says only a crime if I knew it would bounce. I have a plea on the table which will put a misdemeanor on my record. Do I have a defense since I did not know it would bounce?
  • I am a veteran I tried to attempt suicide 11 months ago and I am currently ordered to pay child support but the way life is going I think its in the best interest of the kids to not have a relationship with me because of my mental health problems and major financial issues. How to I go about giving up all parental rights and financial obligations without having to discuss my suicide attempt in court? I just want to let them live a happy life and not worry about me because I plan on moving away in the next few months.
  • Divorce decree states my ex is to pay half of a credit card bill either in monthly payments or half of the balance. He is not paying me or the credit card company. The only payments he made were during the time we still lived together. I deducted his half of the payment from my half of the monthly bills. How can I get the court to enforce what is on the decree? Also, I no longer reside in the state of Arizona and do not have money for an attorney. Thank you.
  • My wife bought a car with her mom as cosigner. They have both since passed away. What do I do with said car with payments still owed?
  • I want to Petition the court for Grandparent's visitation. The only closely related forms I can find all relate to cases that are already being and have been litigated to some degree or another. The kids' parents were never married and there has been no legal steps taken by either party for formal custody, support, etc. Do I need to just write my own petition and start from square one? As far as I can tell the Superior Court is the proper venue...I would hate to petition the wrong court! Thank you for your help.
  • I am pregnant with my ex boyfriends baby. If I give my son my last name, can his father fight to make me change the last name to his? and if he can will he win?
  • Can a Father (who is currently married) take the child (of the marriage) and leave to another state without a court decision on custody or any other legal filing.
