  • If someone was convicted of domestic violence 3 years ago, can they by any way file any motions to get the fines reduced by the court? or file for any motions to set aside the conviction?
  • My mother let her ex daughter-in-law stay in a rental she owns, they had a verbal agreement that it was only for a few weeks until she found a place to live. She is still there months later, has not paid any rent and will not leave. How do we evict her?

I only lived there for one week, paid 1/2 of everything to move in, $25 app fee, $100 deposit, $240 which was half of the first months rent. I am just asking for the $300 back. He says it his & me asking for it back & making him pay it back is extortion. What are my rights?
