  • I'm a landlord, I was given $500 security deposit. I even allowed them to unload their moving truck 2 days prior to signing the lease. The night we were due to sign the lease they backed out. Do I need to give their deposit back? They used my home as a storage facility and now my home has an overwhelming cigarette smoke due to their belongings!

  • The flushing mechanism inside the toilet tank has broken. Flushing the toilet is only possible by reaching into the tank and pulling the chain. Is it the lanlords responsibility to fix it?
  • My mom was diagnosed with dementia and she received a civil summons from a credit card company. Mom only receives social security and has a very small monthly pension which are put into her checking account. She also has a small IRA from her former 401k which she is having to use for daily care services. This will most likely be depleted soon. Given her current state, we are unsure about what to do.   • Current Parenting time/custody that is filed with the court from 2006 is 50/50. My ex moved to CA 4 years ago and my son went with him so at the time we did a document stating my son would live in CA and my ex would have custody of him.(this document was not filed with the courts) My ex has moved back to AZ and my son wants to go back to the original parenting plan and custody arrangement. My ex wont let him and states that the notarized document states he has full custody and only can see me every other weekend. Is this notarized document legal or is he illegally withholding my son from me?
