Landlord and Tenant Rights and Responsibilities

questions & answers

Question: IF a lease has not been signed on a rental property in over ten years is the original lease still in effect or does the agreement default to month to month or week to week?

Answer: Some leases will state that once the year is up the lease will go to an automatic month to month, others may state a renewal date for the lease.  Check your lease to see what it actually says.  You may want to contact an attorney for further clarification.
