Question: I have filed for a legal separation and want to drop it, can this be done? I have filed the acceptance papers, and my husband has not responded yet. we are trying to work out our problems and not ready for a divorce. How do I go about rescinding the filing?

Answer:

If he or she has filed a response you can agree to dismiss the case. http://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/docket/FamilyCourtCases/Index.asp

 If no response has been filed you can do a motion to withdraw your petition.http://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/Superiorcourt/FamilyCourt/DivorceProceedings/index.asp
