QUESTIONS

  • I have just finished a 1 year lease at my current apartment community on November 25th. It's now December 16th and I must break my lease due to family emergency and no financial resources available. Is there anyway I can retrack my lease since the new lease has been in effect for less than 30 days?
  • My husband has not followed through with the stipulations set forth in our divorce decree. We filed our divorce in Pinal county, but I now reside in Maricopa county, which county would I have to go through to get the standing court orders enforced?

  • I am being evicted under section 33-1368a unauthorized guest.a friend of mine came by to say hi and to get a cold drink. As my friend was arriving my landlord and my friend had words with each other one calling the other a racist for commenting on baggy clothes. I was served with a written 13-3368a notice and was told he couldn't come back. About 3weeks later my friend showed up again I told him he wasn't allowed on the property gave him some water and he left. The next day I was served with a second 33-1368a notice with 10 days to vacate the property. Is this legal and what should I do?
  • My roommate flaked out on me and I need to pay a termination fee for the apartment. We are both signed on the lease but I need to know if my roommate is also responsible to split the termination fee and if so, what if my roommate refuses? Will she be responsible for paying her part? The termination fee is four months of rent and I am able to pay two (half) of the overall fee. My landlords said if she won't pay her part, it will be sent to collections and they will also require me to pay the remaining balance if she doesn't.
  • My father recently died ( he was 92 yrs) He lived in Iowa and was in a Nursing home.He was a US Veteran, I was the rep Payee for his checking account, his only daughter, and his VA fiduary, only one to make his funeral arrangements and pay the mortuary. He had no will, do I need to file formal estate paperwork and all other documents since I am his heir ? I do not have the money to file.

  • a judgement of default in an eviction special detainer case was granted agaianst me in superior court of az. I filed a motion to set aside the judgement so if i lost i could appeal as ofr you cannot appeal a default judgement the judge denied my motion to set aside can i appeal that decision?
