Question: My fiancee moved to Wisconsin (where we currently reside) three years ago. Shortly after arriving here, his ex girlfriend in Tuscon claimed she was pregnant with his child. She wanted him to pay child support that she decided without him signing the birth certificate and without a paternity test. He desperately wants to see if she is the father but she refuses to participate. Is there any legal way to force her to cooperate? Is he legally obligated to pay child support without being on the birth certificate if it is her fault he is not able to see the child?

Question: I have a step son who’s 18 yo and will be 19 in a month who recently just had a baby. My question is this, he recently received a paternity court summons and in the summons it says he has 20 days to respond. Needless to say he hasn’t responded and he’s just ignoring the summons. What will happen if he continues to ignore this summons? It’s already passed the 20 day window.

Question: I’m 6 months pregnant me and the father are not married and don’t even talk. We were not even together when I got pregnant. He’s not there and he’s not fit to be a father how can I get sole custody when my baby is born? Can I leave his name out of the birth certificate or will he still be able to have rights once my baby is born? He doesn’t know my due date and won’t be there for when I give birth so he will not be signing the birth certificate. Is there any way I can assure he can’t come and try to take my baby? How can I file for sole custody? Would he need to sign over his rights?
