Question: New York has a property tax exemption or deferment plan for those whose income is under 13k a year and you must be 70. does Arizona have the same program? if so, it's well hidden from public.
Answer: The County Assessor's office in your county may offer a Senior Property Valuation Protection. You can find information online for Maricopa County at http://mcassessor.maricopa.gov/valuation-relief-programs/ . If you are outside Maricopa County, you would want to contact the county's Assessor's office and see if they have the same program. You may need to fill out the form(s) to qualify in your county. The Assessor's office would have the form and qualifications for the program.
