Food Stamps, Cash Assistance
questions & answers
Question: My son applied for food assistance and did get a card but his balance every month is only $16.00 a month and this is not the amount he was told at his initial application. How do I find out what happened?
Answer:
For questions regarding Nutritional Assistance contact the Department of Economic Security (DES). On the website there is a link to e-mail question regarding benefits. The phone number to call is 602-542-9935 or 1-800-352-8401 if outside Maricopa County. The website also provides a link to the My Family Benefits log on. If there is a case number already assigned, an account can be created and information regarding benefits is available.
