Debt Collection, Garnishment, Repossession
questions & answers
Question: I foreclosed on a property in ohio, can the creditor garnish my wages if i now reside in arizona?
Answer: There is a process by which a creditor can file a foreign judgment (i.e. out of state judgment) in the state of Arizona. If that is done properly, the judgment becomes recognized and enforceable within the state. Potentially, your wages could then be subject to garnishment.
