QUESTIONS

  • I leased a townhome from a private individual and he uses a realtor to complete his tranacetions for him. I vacated the premises on 6/22. The lease terminated 6/30. His representative told me I would have my security deposit back within 14 days of turning the keys over. I still don't have my security deposit back. The landlord has told me the 14 days started on June 30. I'm getting conflicting information from him and his realtor. Which one is correct?
  • I was charged almost 500 dollars in water usage, but the landlord does not want to have someone come check the meter that is owed by them and is also charging a service fee on top of the water bill every month, and I was told by that they are not supposed to be making money of the water they are only supposed to charge what the city charges them and not make a profit out of it. Is it true they can't make a profit and how can I proceed legally on my 500 dollar water charge if I know I don't have any leaks that could originate that 500 dollar charge?
  • If someone is on an Interstate Compact from Oregon to AZ and on parole, and they get put in jail; don't they still have the right to know why they've been put in jail? Especially after 3 weeks, with no appearance before a judge given, and Oregon says they still haven’t heard anything from Arizona and they usually don’t on these minor violations. I was told by a PO that my Son was being locked up for a parole violation of two diluted UA’s in a row. My son had to hear from me why he was locked up. They never told him his UA’s were coming out diluted or why he was being locked up.
