  • I am an unwed mother . My daughters fathers name is on the birth certificate. a paternity test was positive but only child support is legal and current. I was told I have sole custody and that he has no rights. Can he take her out of school without my permission just because he is on the birth certificate There have been no legal custody papers filed or requested by him. But the school is telling me that he can take her anytime because he's on the birth certificate. She is thirteen years of age and the court ordered child support was the only legal action taken over 12 years ago
  • I have 3 year old from a man who I was never married to. He has been paying court order child suppprt since my son was born. He is on birth certificate. When we went to court for child support, It was only for child support when we went to court not for anything else.   • We had an installer for a cable company in our house. My dog broke through the gate and bit his pants which scraped his leg. No puncture through the skin, no bleeding. Not trying to minimize what happened. It was scary. He put in a claim with his workmans comp. Now the Workmans Comp insurance company is sending us notices that we are responible to re-emburse them. The notice says "Medical Lein" Is this legal? They are being paid by the company and they also want to collect from us? The letter says I should submit a claim to my home owners insurance. Help?   • I have a signed lease agreement with two other undergrad college students. One has vacated the property and has requested that the Landlord approve a sub-lease. There is a modification clause stating that all party's must approve in writing any changes to the lease. Can the other roommate and the Landlord move anyone they want into the residence without the approval of the other two that are remaining? There is a sub-lease clause as well stating that a sub-lease may be granted with the approval of the Landlord.

With the COVID-19 National Emergency announcement and ASU cancelling all on campus sessions, I would like to cancel my lease for the rest of the semester and move in with family. The Arizona Residential Landlord and Tenant Act makes no mention of National Emergencies and rights extended to tenants. My lease agreement also has no provisions, including none for Force Majeure.
