QUESTIONS

  • We just rcvd ltr stating that our lease will not be renewed and we will have to move by end of April, 2020. The problem with that is COVID-19 and we also have four children under the age of eight with one child being on the learning spectrum. It is a very difficult time now during this pandemic to try to find another place to live, obtaining a moving company and just the stress of it all. We would still be able to pay our rent, so that isn't the problem, but do we have any rights as renters as we are renting a house not apartment at this time?
  • My home went to foreclosure. The amount owed was $368,000 ,the bank set the opening bid at $302,000, The home sold for $371,000. Should the excess funds be the difference between $371,000 and $368,000 or between $371,000 and $302,000. Thx

  • I have a Health Care Advance Directive from another state. Some of my friends say it is valid, others no. I suspect it is really up to the local hospital/doctor whether to honor it. Can you tell me if there is an AZ law that REQUIRES hospital/doctor to follow it? If so, can you tell me the law (statue??) that applies so I can refer to it if necessary? Thank you

  • Can a landlord evict because they not animal control or law enforcement deemed your dogs aggressive? There have been no noise or aggressive/ vicious dog complaints filed with animal control but now suddenly we were told get rid of the dogs or be evicted. And the property manager has lied about complaints from the other tenants and about one of my dogs getting out and chasing her boy friend on a day I was home all day with my dogs so I know for a fact none of them got out of my yard and she never mentioned it to my husband who works for her or me.   • I lived in apartment for 2yrs. Carpet was new. Contract was up 11/30/18 and completed the walk-through on 11/28. At the walk-through we were told that everything was fine except a stain on the countertop which we were told that we would probably have to pay for. Two weeks later I get a letter that I have to pay to replace the carpet because it's worn more than the 36 month life limit. I have pictures of the carpet and it is not worn nor dirty.
