QUESTIONS

  • If my landlord is not willing to fix my A/c and keeps giving me different excuses why it is not fixed yet, what can I do? I also have children in the home.
  • I got granted temporary sole legal decision making of my daughter but during this case I got into a car accident with my other daughter, I was not the driver or passenger and had no illegal part in this accident. Now my daughters father is telling me he has temporary sole custody and I cannot see her at all. He has domestic violence and was told that sole custody was not an option in our case for him. He got a lawyer and we made a settlement so it would be easier for me because the accident ruined everything with my life and I signed it but she told us that we needed to get it notarized.
  • My ex has filed a lien per our divorce, insane isn't it? Anyway, can she, the lawyers, take my house away from me? I'm a vet, 74yo, and having a hard time making ends meet.
  • Is it legal for my landlord to put on the lease that I am responsible for the repair or replacement of the house's appliances? Stove, fridge, washer/dryer. They are not new.
  • I quit my employer after 12 years employment. After i changed states I reapplied and was told that I was Blacked Balled from applying because of attendance. Is there anything i can do?
  • Can a mother who just notified a man he has a child after 3 years file for child support then file for abandonment? Will the father have the opportunity to establish a relationship even if he lives in different state?
  • If a parent is in the military and their legal state of residence is Arizona, and so was the spouses and children at time of filing, wouldn't that give Arizona jurisdiction for child custody? Even if neither person had lived in Arizona for the past 11 yrs? Parent filing at the time was stationed overseas, but has since moved back to the states. The other parent (who has the children) resides in Kentucky, but at the time was not a legal resident of Kentucky.
  • I have a credit card debt from 2004 that has been sold to a collector. Can there be garnishment to wages or just go after assets. Was served papers today. There was already a judgement about a year ago. Now I go another one.
  • Who do I report to if I know of someone working while being paid for medical disability?
  • Is a washing machine considered an appliance that a land lord must replace if no longer working? Are they able to include no longer replacing appliances in the lease contract? Or indicate the tenant must come up with $100 and they replace it?
