  • I received my electric bill this month and it was nearly 9 times what I usually pay. I think it was because of the water heater in my apartment. It was malfunctioning and wasn't heating the water correctly for about 2 days, and then it was fixed by the apartment maintenance. I've talked to the landlords at my apartment complex and it seems like they are not going to help me in any way with my electric bill. If it was the water heater, is it fair that I have to pay the electric bill for their water heater malfunctioning and sucking up electricity for 2 days?
  • I want to get a divorce.  I married my wife several years ago.  After we were married, I found out that our marriage ceremony occurred before my wife had legally divorced her previous husband.  Is my  marriage to my wife legal?  Do I need a divorce or annulment?

  • I have lived /owed my condo for 13 years and yes, it's a HOA issue. My HOA has had judgements and liens against several units, both owned by past directors. The " Management Company " said that even though the HOA put those liens/judgements in place, it's still up to the previous to pay back the HOA.   • My ex-girlfriend and I obviously separated and have not done any legal custody paperwork with our (she is the mother) two children (ages 3 and 1). The boys constantly stay at the house that I own and never go to their mothers. She only sees them at my house for the 40 hours that I work per week and that is it. Their addresses (including the mother's mail) all come to the house that I own. She has now grown upset and wants to take the children to some long distant relative in Colorado just because she is angry. I do have the 3 year old enrolled in a local Prescott Valley school as well.

  • My grandmother has late stage dementia, we recently moved her and provided a Doctors note to relieve her of her lease. I am POA. The apartment complex just sent a letter stating that there is urine on carpet ( my grandmothers) and they have to replace it and treat concrete. My Grandmother is on state assistance and has $110 left over after her assisted living expenses. They said they are giving me 30 days to pay in full or she is going to collections. From what I understand, she is considered judgement clear due to limited income. Can they come after me and send me to collections for this
  • My girlfriend and I have two children together. I would like to gain custody of them since she has been experiencing mental health issues and cannot take care of the children.  I cannot afford a lawyer and have been told I cannot leave the state without her permission and was also told since the children's birth certificates establish I am the father and that they have my last name I can relocate with them. I can't get a straight answer !
