Question: We have a roommate on our lease and he is 24 and sleeps in a girls room(22) and she doesn't want him in there. What can be done. She is saying she doesn't feel safe with him around because he has become an alcoholic. Thanks for any advice.
Answer: If the roommate has done or is doing something that is unlawful, or is in any other respect in violation of his duties as a tenant under your rental agreement, then you can always report that behavior to your landlord. (Keeping a careful record (dates and times) of specific events is always helpful.) Anyone who feels unsafe in her/his own home also may wish to consider contacting other authorities.
