Question: ive received court papers for an eviction. i own the MH but rent the lot. i am a disabled combat veteran. i heard there is a law stating that as a veteran i would be given 90days before i could actually be evicted from my home. is this true? And are is there any other laws refering to veterans and evictions that would be helpful to me? Thank You

Answer: There are no laws that allow a veteran additional time to be evicted. Arizona Veterans’ Law does allow certain special rights that veterans are entitled to such as retirement, disability, and health care. However, Arizona Veterans' Law is a very specific detailed area of law and does not provide additional rights to veterans regarding eviction. The Mobile Home Parks Residential Landlord and Tenant Act (Title 33, Chapter 11 of the Arizona Revised Statutes) sets out the law governing the rental of mobile home spaces and rights and obligations of landlord and tenant.
