Landlord and Tenant - Mobile Home Parks
questions & answers
Question: If someone Buys out a park where you own the trailer free and clear, are you paid out? Can you be forced to leave without compensation?
Answer: Under the vast majority of circumstances (unless, for example, the mobile home owner owes significant rent for lot space and the mobile home park places a lien on the mobile home), a mobile home owner may not be forced to abandon their home when park ownership changes. If you are concerned that park ownership is acting or threatening to act unlawfully in your case, you may wish to speak with an attorney.
