Landlord and Tenant - Mobile Home Parks

questions & answers

Question: Hello! One of my friends who lives in a trailer park/mobile home is being forced to move since the new owner is essentially shutting the place down. Can he be compensated based on the fact that him and his family were going to be able to finally own their home in September of 2018?

Answer: If a mobile home park tenant is required to move due to a change in use or the redevelopment of the mobile home park, then the tenant has multiple options pursuant to Section 33-1476.01 of the Arizona Mobile Home Parks Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, including compensation for relocating or abandoning the mobile home, depending on the circumstances. Without knowing very much about your friend’s situation, it is impossible to say what his legal rights are.
