Landlord and Tenant - Mobile Home Parks
questions & answers
Question: We have a park model home in a park here in ehrenberg, and we just received an email stating our space fee will increase 45% (300 to 425) beginning August 1st. That is only 11 days notice. In the same email it was stated that the park manager had made a mistake and did not charge this amount beginning January 2016 due to his own error. He states that he will forego the 1050 difference and just implement the new rate going forward. Is there a minimum amount of time they need to notify us of the increase? 30 days or something?
Answer: The Arizona Moblile Home Landlord/Tenant Act requires the landlord to provide written notice at least 90 days prior to expiration of the rental agreement of any rental increase (ARS 33-1413 G).
