Question: If I am in the process to purchase a home, how much time is required to give my apartment complex of my notice to vacate?

Answer: If a specific notice requirement is specified within a written rental agreement, then that notice requirement (and any early-termination penalties attached) is binding on both parties until the tenancy expires. If the rental agreement is a month-to-month rental agreement, then either party may terminate it with 30 days notice prior to the beginning of the next rental term (usually the first of the month) (A.R.S. 33-1375).
